Thunivu is a 2023 Tamil action thriller film written and directed by H. Vinoth. It stars Ajith Kumar, Manju Warrier, and Samuthirakani. The film follows a group of people who plan to rob a bank, only to find that the bank is already being held hostage by a mysterious man.
The film begins with Radha (Samuthirakani), a dreaded gangster, planning a heist at "Your Bank", one of the biggest privately-owned banks in Chennai. He recruits a team of skilled criminals, including Kevin (Anirudh), a former bank employee, and Michael Jackson (Aadhi Pinisetty), a martial arts expert.
On the day of the heist, Radha and his men hijack the bank, only to discover that the bank is already hijacked by a mysterious man nicknamed Michael Jackson and his accomplice, Kanmani (Manju Warrier). The commandos arrive inside the bank, but get defeated.
The mysterious man reveals himself to be a vigilante named Daredevil, who is on a mission to expose the corruption at the bank. He has taken hostages in order to force the bank to release the money it has stolen from its customers.
Radha and Daredevil are forced to work together in order to save the hostages and stop the bank from getting away with its crimes. However, they soon realize that they are not the only ones who are after the money. A group of ruthless mercenaries have also been hired to retrieve the money, and they will stop at nothing to get it.
Thunivu is a fast-paced, action-packed thriller that explores the themes of corruption, greed, and revenge. It is a stylish and stylishly shot film that features some of the best action sequences of the year. The film is also notable for its strong performances, particularly from Ajith Kumar and Manju Warrier.
